GoVoteBot

Voting is incredibly confusing and no two states are alike when it comes to the rules and deadlines to vote. In 2012, 93 million eligible US citizens didn’t vote in the general election. After learning these unfortunate stats, my friend Brad and I knew we wanted to do something to change this. So we began to meet during our lunches, and put together a pitch to see if the agency would support us in building something to increase voter turnout. A few weeks later we were asked to pitch our idea to none other than Bob Greenberg, founder of R/GA, who graciously supported our idea and helped us bring it to life.

What started as just an idea became billboards in Times Square, and a tool that took a process that is overwhelmingly complicated and turned it into a simple conversation in Facebook Messenger that started over 100,000 conversations about voting.
